What treatments can reduce my body fat?

Dr. Morris offers several options for targeted body fat removal, including:

Tumescent liposuction

Liposuction is a surgical technique that removes excess fat deposits located between the skin and the muscle. Dr. Morris inserts a small tube connected to a powerful suction pump into the targeted area through a small incision. The tube sucks out the fat and while creating small tunnels through the fatty layers. After the procedure, the tunnels collapse, resulting in an improved body contour. Dr. Morris uses a local anesthetic so you remain awake.  Dr. Morris uses the tumescent anesthesia technique for the procedure. This technique involves injecting tumescent fluid (comprised of lidocaine, saline, and epinephrine) into subcutaneous fat to safely deliver anesthesia. This procedure can be performed in-office, and it has been reported worldwide as being the safest form of liposuction.  This technique requires extensive technique and experience.

The procedure is safe, less painful, has smoother results, and is less bruising than traditional liposuction.

An abdominoplasty —  also known as the traditional tummy tuck — involves fat removal, excess skin removal, and the tightening of the stomach muscles. Dr. Morris performs tummy tucks using local anesthesia in a private, state-of-the-art surgical center using certified anesthesia providers for a comfortable and safe experience. The procedure takes approximately 2-5 hours.

Mini tummy tuck

A mini tummy tuck removes excess hanging skin and fat in the abdominal area, which is a frequent side effect for people who have gained and then lost a large amount of weight. It can also result from childbirth or after abdominal surgery. This surgical procedure involves making a horizontal incision and removing the fat. Dr. Morris then pulls the remaining skin tight and sutures it together. He does not tighten the abdominal muscles during this procedure, which distinguishes the mini tummy tuck from a traditional tummy tuck.

How can I improve the appearance of veins on my legs?

Dr. Morris treats spider veins and varicose veins in his state-of-the-art facilities. Options include:

Spider vein removal

During spider vein removal, Dr. Morris uses the technique sclerotherapy to inject the targeted vein with a solution that causes the vessel walls to dry up. The body’s natural healing process causes the vein to decompose, shrink and eventually disappear. Dr. Morris utilizes sclerosing agents such as Polidocanol, Sodium Tetradecyl, Glycerin, and Hypertonic Saline.  The procedure takes time because Dr. Morris needs to inject each spider vein individually.

Varicose vein removal

Traditional vein stripping is a thing of the past. Dr. Morris treats varicose veins with a phlebectomy procedure.  This procedure involves interrupting the veins through a small micro-puncture.  The procedure is performed with local anesthesia, and is performed in the office. There is minimal scarring after the procedure, since no stitches are necessary.

Should I consider breast augmentation?

Breast augmentation can be very beneficial for a woman who is self-conscious about her outward appearance. A rounder, fuller breast that is proportionate to the rest of your body can promote self-esteem and confidence. Breast augmentation can also improve breast fullness lost after childbirth and breastfeeding.

If you decide to pursue breast augmentation, you can choose silicone or saline implants. With saline implants, the silicone shells are inserted without fluid, and then are filled with saline. Silicone implants have different sizes of gel fillers.

Since no two patients seek the same outcome, Dr. Morris works with each patient prior to surgery to discuss the most appropriate size and desired outcome.
